“But.. I don’t know how to pose!”

Believe it or not, you are not the only one who have said this to us.

It can be daunting being the centre of attention with a camera constantly pointing at you. After all, not everyone is a professional model and it’s okay to be shy. This is where we come in! Before your photoshoot, we always try to spend a few minutes, or a few hours (?) knowing you.

What do you like?
How do you spend your free time?

Where did you two meet?

Little things matter. These photos will last you a lifetime, and we want you to feel happy when you look at them again.
Plus, Valentine’s Day is in about 2 weeks time and what other way to make your partner happier than a little gift of a … photoshoot!

So, let’s talk about a few points that can make you feel more comfortable during your photoshoot :

  1. Be natural and pick something you enjoy doing

If you like reading, bring a book to the photoshoot! Hold it, pretend to read it, just do what makes you comfortable. Whatever your hobby is, we’ll find a way to incorporate it to ease you into the photoshoot.

Or perhaps, rollerblading? 🛼

2. Forget the Camera

During the photoshoot, the camera might not always be in front of you. Sometimes, it could be behind you, next to you, or even somewhere you could not see 👻 All those angles will result in fantastic photos anyway!
We might advise you to walk down the road while chatting to your partner, or touching your hair. We might tell dad to crack his ultimate dad joke so we can capture everyone laughing (or cringing) in real time.
Honestly, it’s almost like the camera was never there! 👀

Don’t worry, sometimes we’re just about 20 metres above ground level from you!

3. You will feel more confident after a few minutes in

Just like how musicians need to warm up with some scales before performing an entire Mozart piece, you just need to do a few poses before feeling comfortable for the rest of your photoshoot!
We know you’re feeling awkward, confused, and shy. We also know that all of a sudden you can’t even look at your partner without bursting to laughter. Remember to push through it (also, put some faith in your photographer) and it will get MUCH easier.

If you really can’t hold the laughter, fine. Just face the opposite way 😂

Ultimately, trust your photographer as they would be able to guide you and your partner to feel comfortable during your session.
